The Āpōpō Awards celebrate and recognise projects and initiatives that demonstrate infrastructure asset management excellence, reflecting the pinnacle of achievement in the industry. Categories include, the Innovation Award, the Leadership Award, the Improvement Award, the Community Award and the Sustainability Award.

Hynds Paper of the Year

The Hynds Award was established by John Hynds in 1990 to encourage Āpōpō members to improve their presentation skills, by presenting papers on asset management and engineering for infrastructure.

Poster Competition

The 2025 Āpōpō Congress Poster Competition is an opportunity to inspire an audience of infrastructure asset management professionals attending the Congress through an engaging and informative poster presentation.

Entries are welcome on any topic of relevance to the infrastructure asset management profession. The competition is open to all Āpōpō Members.

This year there are two categories “Best Student Poster” and “Best Open Poster”.

Scholarships

Āpōpō has a long-standing history of supporting our infrastructure asset management leaders of both today and tomorrow through scholarships.

Āpōpō scholarships are designed to advance the careers of infrastructure asset management professionals.

Scholarships include the Young Leader Scholarship, the Priyani de Silva-Currie Emerging Asset Management Professional Scholarship, the Emerging Governance Scholarship and the Senior Professional Scholarship.
