Call for Abstracts
Āpōpō Congress 2025 Call for Abstracts now open!
You are invited to submit abstracts to be considered for inclusion in the programme of the 2025 Āpōpō Congress.
The theme of the Āpōpō Congress 2025 is Delivering Infrastructure Value.
Trusted with the public purse and limited resources, infrastructure decision-makers carry the responsibility of delivering value for money for their communities. However, the concept of value in infrastructure transcends mere financial metrics, embodying a deeper connection between people, place, and purpose. It reflects the ability of infrastructure to shape economies, uplift communities, preserve cultural identity, and harmonise with the natural environment, all while fostering resilience in the face of an uncertain future. The true value lies in the integration of these elements, ensuring that infrastructure serves as a foundation for sustainable progress and collective wellbeing in the long term.
Abstracts should present their infrastructure asset management topic in alignment to one or more of the following sub-themes:
Economic and Financial Value Whaihua ohaoha me te taha pūtea
Community and Cultural Value Whaihua mō te hapori me te ahurea
Environment and Sustainability Value Whaihua taiao me te oranga tonutanga
Resilience and Generational Value Whaihua aumangea mō ngā whakatipuranga hoki
Read the Call for Abstracts document (right) to learn more about our theme and sub themes.
Submissions close Friday 29 November 2024.
